Rain barrel
Finite resources
You’re operating with a rain barrel. You’re not hooked up to the municipal water system.
Scott Perry reminded me of this today. He didn’t mean I lack energy, passion, ideas, love, etc. He means they’re finite.
As a teacher, so is yours - especially in March.
What do you do with that?
Before answering, think about that rain barrel filling. You need 2 things:
rain and time.
Time to fill with rain
2 jobs for us March teachers:
protect some time
let the rain fall.
Saying, “I don’t have time” caps your rain barrel. Even when the rain falls, it won’t fill a closed barrel.
So, protect a block of time and do something that fills your barrel. I’m planning on walking the dog and folding some origami this weekend.
I’d love to hear how you’re filling your barrel. Reply with “I filled my barrel by…”
See you in class,
J

I absolutely love the way you repurpose this idea, Jeff. Thanks for the h/t!
Truly!
