Gold Glue
Broken = Beautiful
This bowl’s beautiful because my friend Manna broke it
She didn’t send me the pieces, she glued it back together.
Breaking isn’t good.
Pain’s not magical.
But repair often makes visible what wholeness hid.
Like most teachers, I carry wounds I never would have chosen.
And yet, those wounds deepen my patience, grace, and attention so I recognize some of my students’ pain.
The crack’s not the gift.
What I build around it might be.
Your glue:
Here’s 1 wound I carry ______, but because of it I can offer my students ______.
See you in class,
J
