Done -> Space
Quieting school noise
A friend started GLP-1 a few weeks ago. It’s been a rocky road, but one thing she said stuck with me, “My doc said that it would shut down the food noise - and it has.”
I asked her what food noise meant.
She said,
“You know, any blank space, my brain used to say, ‘I’m hungry or look at that (fill in the blank with cookie, cake, cheese, chips, etc).’ I don’t hear that voice right now, it’s kind of amazing actually.”
Instead of food noise, done lists turn school noise off. Turning your brain towards what you’ve already done (today, this week, whatever) pivots you from to-do/school noise.
Towards space.
That’s the goal, to leave school at school, so you can have space outside of school. For family, for a hobby, for those closest to you, for a dog walk where you see the sun and feel the breeze.
What’s 1 thing your done list is doing for you?
Hit reply. I’d love to hear.
**I’m putting 2/17 substack post on my done list.
See you in class,
J
